TradingView Paper Trading Export Guide
Export TradingView Paper Trading history for Journalit from Order History as CSV. This guide shows the exact TradingView export to use and avoids the other export types that do not match the importer.
Bottom line
In TradingView Paper Trading, use Export data... → Order History.
Do not export other data types such as Position History or alternative trade lists.
Overview
Paper Trading only
This guide covers TradingView's Paper Trading panel, not every broker integration available inside TradingView.
Order History required
Journalit expects the Order History export specifically. Other export choices can produce incompatible structures.
Fast to verify
A quick look at the filename and first row usually confirms whether you exported the right thing.
Timezone matters
If imported timestamps look off, TradingView's configured timezone is one of the first things to check.
What Journalit expects
Most common mistake
If the CSV will not import, the problem is usually not the file download itself.
It is that you exported the wrong TradingView dataset instead of Order History.
Export trades from TradingView
Open Paper Trading
Sign in to TradingView, open the Trading Panel at the bottom of the chart, and make sure Paper Trading is selected in the broker dropdown.
Open the export menu
Inside the Paper Trading panel, find and click Export data....
Choose Order History
From the export menu, select Order History.
Do not choose other options such as Position History or alternative trade list exports. Those are the wrong shape for Journalit.
Download the CSV
TradingView will download the file automatically. In many cases the filename will look like order_history_YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
Verify the file quickly
Confirm the file contains your paper trading order data and that the first row includes column headers such as time, symbol, type, side, quantity, and price.
Quick validation before import
Correct export type
You selected Order History from the Export data menu.
Paper Trading selected
The Trading Panel was connected to Paper Trading when you exported.
Expected filename
The download looks like an order-history CSV rather than another TradingView export.
Reasonable timestamps
If something looks off later, check your TradingView timezone settings before assuming the import is broken.
