What syncs and what only imports

Trade Sync keeps an ongoing broker connection. Trade Import reads a file you export. Both are Pro; you can preview an import for free.

MetaTrader 5 has been import-only since 23 July 2026, when MT5 removed FTP report publishing. Preview means approved testers only. Any other broker that exports CSV or Excel can be imported by mapping its columns.

Limitations

  • Connection management and synchronisation require an eligible Journalit plan
  • When the same canonical account is visible through two OAuth identities, only one connection can sync it at a time
  • Existing open positions are synchronised even when an initial-history boundary excludes older closed trades

cTrader

Authorise read-only cTrader access on Journalit.co, choose account history, and assign each enabled broker account to a Journalit account in the plugin.

Limitations

  • Connecting, configuring, resuming, and synchronising require current Journalit Pro and feature access; existing connections can still be paused, disconnected, or have their cloud data deleted after access ends
  • All available history means the history cTrader currently exposes and does not guarantee complete account-lifetime history
  • The same canonical cTrader account can be synchronised through only one cTrader connection at a time

NinjaTrader

Limitations

  • Only NinjaTrader brokerage accounts that use Tradovate account access are supported; the connection is approved through Tradovate
  • There is no standalone NinjaTrader file-import guide today; accounts without Tradovate access are not yet supported
  • Connection management and synchronisation require an eligible Journalit plan

Limitations

  • File import only; there is no direct TopstepX API sync
  • The TopstepX adapter depends on your plugin version; Manual Mapping is the fallback

Limitations

  • File import only; there is no Bybit Trade Sync and no API connection
  • Closed P&L, Order History and the Transaction Log are different records and do not import as trades
  • Bybit can change export labels or columns; a fresh Trade History export is the first troubleshooting step

MT4 uses FTP Trade Sync; MT4 and MT5 HTML account statements import directly.
